On January 6, the first cross-border e-commerce forum of 2021 was successfully held in the 7th-floor hall of the Qingchuang City International Network Wholesale Center in Shishi. The event was jointly hosted by the Shishi E-commerce Association, the Shishi Import and Export Chamber of Commerce, and the Shishi International Chamber of Commerce, and co-organized by the Qingchuang City International Network Wholesale Center and Qingchuang Network. With the theme "Quality Shishi Apparel, Going Global via Cross-border E-commerce," the forum aimed to guide all segments of the cross-border e-commerce ecosystem to cluster in Shishi and seek common development.

Guests attending the forum included Qiu Yongfeng, Vice Mayor of Shishi; Lin Shile, President of the Quanzhou Cross-border E-commerce Association; Alice, Senior Expansion Manager for Amazon Global Selling; Lin Jinchang, Director of the Shishi Municipal Bureau of Commerce; Lin Zhicheng, President of the Shishi E-commerce Association and Chairman of the Qingchuang City International Network Wholesale Center; Lin Yisha, General Manager of Qingchuang Network; as well as representatives from major e-commerce companies and traditional foreign trade enterprises.

The forum was hosted by Su Jinfa, Deputy Director of the Shishi Municipal Bureau of Commerce.

Vice Mayor Qiu Yongfeng delivered the opening remarks. He emphasized that in this post-pandemic era, with global efforts to fight the pandemic and people staying at home, there is a golden opportunity for the development of cross-border e-commerce. He organized this gathering to encourage everyone to unite and work together to add further glory to the Shishi industrial belt.

During the meeting, President Lin Shile shared reflections from his decade of e-commerce experience, stating firmly that Shishi will surely become an important source of supply for cross-border e-commerce. As the first stop of the "Maritime Silk Road," Quanzhou is a pioneer in the Belt and Road Initiative, enjoying unique policy advantages and an increasingly established industrial, logistics, and service cluster. Compared to the mature domestic market, entering the cross-border sector now offers a better chance to gain a competitive edge. Cross-border business is also a key direction for the transformation and upgrading of traditional foreign trade and an effective path toward brand internationalization.

One may walk fast alone, but a group can go further. Faced with numerous cross-border platforms, choosing the right one is key to achieving twice the result with half the effort. Alice showcased that Amazon, as the world's largest e-commerce platform, is still growing at a high speed. In the post-pandemic era, the potential of cross-border e-commerce is immeasurable, bringing new opportunities to Chinese entrepreneurs. Choosing Amazon means connecting with the largest international market.

Finally, Director Lin Jinchang delivered a concluding speech, offering an "extra credit point": this forum was hosted by the Shishi E-commerce Association and the Shishi Import and Export Chamber of Commerce, with city leaders and department heads in attendance to send a clear message—this is an industry highly valued and strongly supported by the government! He urged everyone to enter the market quickly, join hands to tap into the potential of the Shishi industrial belt, and collectively open up a new blue ocean for cross-border trade!
